The University of Innsbruck is an established university which can be proud of its long tradition dating back to its foundation in 1669. It contributes to the knowledge society and ensures the quality and excellence of teaching-, learning- and research processes both on the regional and the international level.
On the one hand, the university studies aim at the development of the students in order for them to be able to assume responsibility in society, while on the other they focus on providing a broad, academic basis of knowledge for finding suitable jobs.
The University of Innsbruck is to increasingly develop into a research university. This is based on a focus on research-oriented teaching, the promotion of young academics, the further development of excellent, structured doctorate programmes and of highest-quality appointments.
The steering team member of the University of Innsbruck is Mr. Peter Egg. Read more about his curriculum vitae.
