Peter Egg 

Peter Egg is a pedagogue and focuses mainly on the topic of participation. He has been a lecturer at the University of Innsbruck since 1999. He wrote his dissertation and doctoral thesis on participation and was awarded the first prize of the development programme for child and youth research in Salzburg in 1997, published as a book by Kid-Publishers, Bonn.

He conducted many research projects at the Institute of Educational Science and at the Institute of Teacher Training on the topic of participation.

Since 1989, Peter has been doing a lot of participatory work with children and young people in the field of village revival and development, living surroundings, school development, youth forums, youth platforms, youth in communal politics, development plans drawn up in cooperation with children, development of playgrounds and play space, development of town centres suitable for children, future workshops, social fiction with young people, town festivals with the participation of children and young people, planning and participatory development of youth work in towns and rural areas, media projects, creating participatory milieus, etc.

Peter Egg has also been responsible for the Tyrolean governmental strategy for the implementation of child and youth participation in the Tyrol since 2006.

He is currently working on a book project with Rob Walker and Barbara Schratz on the topic of researching children and is busy completing his habilitation at the University of Innsbruck on the subject of participation.
