SOS Children's Villages is an active, independent, non-governmental, social development organisation for children. The organisation respects different cultures and religions and operates in countries and communities, where its work can contribute to their development. SOS Children's Villages works in the spirit of the UN convention on the rights of the child, and supports these rights all over the world.
SOS-Kinderdorf International is the umbrella organisation for all national SOS Children's Village associations. The aim of SOS Children's Villages is to offer a family, a permanent home and a solid preparation for an independent life to orphans and children in need, regardless of their ethnic background, nationality or religious beliefs. Through this, SOS Children's Villages would like to come closer to its vision, "Every child belongs to a family and grows with love, respect and security."
The steering team member from SOS Children's Villages is Ms. Julia Fiedler. Read more about her curriculum vitae.
