My name is Teresa Mayr and I was born on the 16th of September 1992 in Innsbruck, Austria. I have been attending the “Akademisches Gymnasium Innsbruck” for six years. I am joining a special class focused on doing presentations and independent working, which should prepare the students for university and working life.
I got in touch with this organisation because my class participated in the “2nd Researching Children Conference”.
My working group chose the topic “Young People and Politics” to be presented at the conference, which mainly dealt with young people’s interest in what is going on in the world. I gained a lot of great experience by participating and so did all my classmates.
We were offered two seats in the steering group of “Researching Children” because of the great feedback my class received., Lorenz Pallhuber (one of my best friends) and I were entirely blown away by this chance and immediately applied for these seats. I am glad that I was given the opportunity to collaborate with this International Organisation and that I can learn more about how conferences are organised and meet people from all over the world.
