My name is Lorenz Pallhuber. I was born on November 30th, 1992 in Innsbruck, Austria. I have been attending the "Akademisches Gymnasium Innsbruck", one of "Researching Children's" partner schools, for six years now.

I got involved in the project when my class took part in the 2008 conference. We had the unique chance to actively take part in the programme and to convey our thoughts to the other participants through our presentations which dealt with topics such as "Young People and Politics", "Muslims in Austria" and "The Climate Change". Not only the feedback from the audience was enthusiastic about our talks but when we started we did not think that we could achieve such good results.

After the conference Mag. Julia Fiedler offered our class two seats as "Youth Representatives" in the steering group of "Researching Children". Teresa Mayr and I immediately agreed because we were both very interested in the conference itself as well as in organising an international symposium that was related to us. We also know from past experience that we can work well together. I am very proud to be part of the steering group and would like to ask you not to hesitate to contact either me or Teresa Mayr for any further questions concerning youth participation during the conference.
